Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) is gearing up for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with two major friendly matches. The Moroccan giants will face Spanish powerhouse Sevilla FC and Portuguese champions FC Porto at the end of May. Both matches will be held at the iconic Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.

Big-Name Friendlies on Home Turf

WAC will play Sevilla on Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. The clash against FC Porto will follow on Saturday, May 31, also at 8 p.m. These matches mark an important phase in Wydad's preparation for the prestigious Club World Cup tournament.

Fans can expect thrilling football as WAC tests its strength against two of Europe’s most renowned clubs. The matches are expected to draw large crowds, offering supporters a chance to see top-level competition before the global tournament begins.

Ticket Sales Details Coming Soon

Wydad is expected to release an official statement regarding ticket sales for the two friendlies. The announcement will include ticket prices, sales points, and other necessary guidelines for fans wishing to attend.

The anticipation is growing in Casablanca as local supporters gear up to cheer for their team. The two games are set to be a football spectacle and a celebration for the club’s loyal fanbase.

Possible Third Friendly in the U.S.

In addition to the two scheduled matches, Wydad may play a third friendly match on international soil. Talks are ongoing for a potential fixture in the United States, either against Auckland City FC or a Mexican club. This would give the Moroccan side even more exposure to international play before facing the world's best teams.

Club World Cup Journey Begins in June

WAC's Club World Cup campaign kicks off on June 18, when they face Manchester City, the English and European champions. The second group-stage match is set for June 22 against Italian giants Juventus. Wydad will then meet Al Ain from the UAE on June 26.

The top two teams from each group will move forward to the round of 16, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and ultimately the final.

Champions League Triumph Secures Club World Cup Spot

Wydad Casablanca earned their ticket to the 2025 Club World Cup after a historic win in the CAF Champions League 2022. That victory sealed their spot among the elite clubs in world football and gave them the opportunity to compete on the global stage.

As the tournament nears, WAC’s preparation is in full swing, and the upcoming matches against Sevilla and Porto offer a perfect test. With the home crowd behind them, Wydad will look to sharpen their form and build momentum.

All Eyes on Wydad’s Preparations

The friendly matches are more than just warm-ups—they're a statement. WAC is serious about making a mark at the Club World Cup. With high-quality opposition, passionate fans, and a rich footballing legacy, Wydad is ready to take on the world.
