A man in his 30s died after being shot several times at an auto complex in Brampton on Friday evening. The incident happened inside an industrial unit on Rutherford Road South, near Glidden Road, close to Highway 410.

Police Respond Quickly
Officers from Peel Regional Police arrived just before 6 p.m. after getting calls about gunshots. They found the man seriously hurt inside the building. He had been shot multiple times.

Victim Dies in Hospital
Emergency medical crews rushed the man to a trauma centre. He went into surgery but didn’t survive. Police confirmed his death shortly afterward.

Targeted Attack Suspected
Const. Tyler Bell, speaking for Peel police, said the shooting seemed targeted. "Whether the victim was the intended person is still part of our investigation," he said. Fortunately, no one else got hurt in the attack.

No Suspect Details Yet
There are reports that some vehicles were seen leaving the area, but police have not confirmed if the suspect or suspects left by car. Investigators have not shared any descriptions yet.

CCTV Footage Collected
Police have gathered surveillance footage from the complex. Officers also spoke to several customers who were inside during the shooting. Investigators hope the video and witness accounts will help identify those responsible.

No Immediate Threat Reported
Authorities said there is no current risk to people in the area. However, a strong police presence stayed at the scene on Friday night and will likely remain over the weekend.

Homicide Unit in Charge
Homicide detectives are now leading the case. Police continue to ask anyone with information or video to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
