Someone in British Columbia just won a huge $31-million Lotto Max prize. The B.C. Lottery Corporation confirmed the lucky ticket matched all seven winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw. The ticket was sold online.

The odds of winning this jackpot with a $5 ticket stand at about 1 in 33 million.

This big win follows a record-breaking prize in May, when a man from Surrey took home $80 million. At that time, the lottery corporation called it the largest jackpot ever won by a single person in Canada.

So far this year, players in B.C. have won more than $196 million from Lotto Max draws, showing just how popular and rewarding the game has become.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation encourages players to check their tickets carefully and to claim winnings as soon as possible.

This latest win highlights how life-changing lottery prizes can be. While the odds are long, many keep playing for their chance at big jackpots.

If you bought a ticket for Tuesday’s draw, it’s a good idea to double-check your numbers—you might be the next big winner.
