A man in his 30s riding a motorcycle got injured in a collision in Etobicoke on Sunday afternoon. The crash happened near North Queen Street and Manstor Road. The location sits just north of The Queensway and west of Highway 427.

Police respond to emergency call

Toronto police said they received a call around 2:50 p.m. about a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Officers reached the scene quickly and secured the area. They confirmed the rider suffered injuries, but his life was not in danger.

Paramedics rush rider to hospital

Paramedics said they got a call just before 3 p.m. They transported the injured motorcyclist to a trauma centre. Officials described his condition as serious but not life-threatening.

Driver stays at the scene

The driver of the other vehicle did not leave after the crash. Police said the driver stayed on site and cooperated with officers. Authorities did not share details about how the collision happened.

Road closure for investigation

Police closed North Queen Street between Manstor Road and Nova Road. Investigators remained at the scene for several hours as they collected evidence and took witness statements. Drivers faced delays and were advised to avoid the area until the road reopened.

Community concern

Local residents expressed worry about speeding in the area. Some said North Queen Street often sees heavy traffic. Others noted that motorcycle crashes can lead to serious injuries even when riders wear protective gear.

Investigation continues

Police are still looking into what led to the crash. They have not said if charges will be laid. Updates are expected once the investigation moves forward.
