The hit sports comedy series Stick is officially coming back for a second season. The exciting news came just as fans were watching the finale of Season 1.
Owen Wilson, who stars in the show and is also one of its executive producers, shared his joy. He said, “I think we all had a great time making it. It’s really nice to see the show connecting with people and to know that we get a chance to continue the story!”
What ‘Stick’ Is All About
Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a once-famous golf star who lost his career early. After his marriage falls apart, he ends up working at a sporting goods store in Indiana. His life changes again when he meets a troubled 17-year-old golf prodigy named Santi, played by Peter Dager.
The show mixes humor and heart, showing how people can find second chances in unexpected ways. Viewers have praised the series for its fresh take on sports and personal growth.
Star-Studded Cast and Real-Life Golf Cameos
Besides Wilson and Dager, the cast includes Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer, and Timothy Olyphant.
Many real-life golf stars appeared in the first season. These include Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, and Wyndham Clark. Famous broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman also made cameos. Social media golf personalities like Matt Scharff and Garrett Clark joined the fun too.
What the Creators and Apple Said
The show's creator, Jason Keller, said he was “inspired and humbled” by how fans reacted to Stick. He added, “It’s a joy to be able to continue this story. Most importantly, however, this season two order will provide me with an undeniable excuse to play even more golf.”
Matt Cherniss, head of programming, praised the show’s mix of charm and emotion. “There’s plenty more in the bag for fans of the series,” he said. “We’re thrilled they’ll soon have the chance to discover Pryce Cahill’s next chapter.”

Stick was created by Jason Keller, who also serves as showrunner. Wilson is joined by several executive producers, including Ben Silverman and Guymon Casady. Other key producers include Howard T. Owens, Rodney Ferrell, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg, Natalie Sandy, Christopher Moynihan, Bill Callahan, Valerie Faris, Jonathan Dayton, and Jaffar Mahmood.
