Get ready to cheer again—Ted Lasso is back for Season 4! Apple TV+ has officially announced the start of production, kicking things off with a first-look photo featuring stars Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Hannah Waddingham, and Jeremy Swift.
Filming Begins in Kansas City
Filming started Monday in Kansas City, the hometown of lead actor Jason Sudeikis. After wrapping up the first three seasons in London, the crew is now bringing the story back to the U.S. However, parts of the new season will still be filmed in London.
Apple CEO Tim Cook posted the new cast photo on social media with the caption: “From biscuits to BBQ,” hinting at the show’s shift from British soccer to American roots.
What’s New in Season 4?
In the new season, Ted Lasso, the lovable American football coach turned soccer manager, will take on a fresh challenge. This time, he will coach a women’s sports team, giving the storyline a new direction while keeping the spirit of the show alive.
Sudeikis returns in the lead role, while Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt also come back both as executive producers and as their characters—Roy Kent and Coach Beard.
Goldstein, who has already won two Emmy Awards for his role, continues to be a fan favorite. His return adds more excitement to the upcoming season.
